Call for entries Students will create videos to inspire a greener Toronto
Toronto youth with a passion for the environment are encouraged to enter the GreenSceneZ Toronto Youth Video Challenge and win the chance to turn their environmental message into a 30-second video that will inspire Torontonians to live green.
To enter, teams of students in grades 7 through 12 must create and submit a storyboard for a 30-second video that conveys what it means to them to live green. A panel of judges, which includes professional filmmakers, will select six winning teams - three elementary teams (grades 7 and 8) and three high school teams (grades 9 to 12).
Winners will attend a video production camp at Planet in Focus during March break 2010 and work with professional filmmakers to turn their great green messages into videos.
Winning videos will premiere at the 2010 Green Toronto Awards ceremony in April 2010, and be featured at livegreentoronto.ca for all of Toronto to see.
Details and entry forms are available at http://www.livegreentoronto.ca. The deadline for submissions is December 18, 2009. No previous video or filmmaking experience is required.
